Treetown USA Rebrands as Everde Growers

HOUSTON, Tex., Dec. 17, 2020 – Jonathan Saperstein, CEO of TreeTown USA, announced Thursday that the company has rebranded and will now operate under a new name: Everde Growers. The rebrand follows nearly six years of strategic acquisitions to expand the company’s footprint nationwide, with farms operating in Oregon, California, Texas, and Florida.

“We have spent several years refining our processes, combining our policies, and setting a strong foundation for the future” Saperstein stated. “Now is the time to truly bring the company together as one.”

Since their purchase of TreeTown USA in 2015, Saperstein and his family have been focused on the company’s strategic growth. Each of the acquisitions have shared several qualities: a positive reputation in the industry, a plant mix that adds value to the company’s offering, inventory to support that mix, land with a solid infrastructure, and an exceptional work force.

Everde Growers views the rebrand as an opportunity to build and fortify its relationships in the industry. “Our commitment to our customers, employees, and suppliers is stronger than ever,” Saperstein stated. “Having a single brand identity will help to streamline and improve many of our processes.”

“The most rewarding part of bringing our company together as one has been creating best practices across the company based on rich experiences from our various backgrounds in the industry,” stated David Kirby, Executive Vice President. “This year, we made great strides in creating a consistent customer experience. For example, by organizing our national customer service team, our customers across the country will now have one point of contact to access our fourteen farms,  as well as access to an updated national availability list with a consistent look and feel. We know that executing the Everde Growers brand will take time, but our employees and customers will immediately see the benefit of having one brand identity.”

    Elaeocarpus decipiens 'TSF 001' PP#29266

    Elaeocarpus decipiens 'TSF 001' PP# 29266 Morning Sun®. A unique evergreen tree.

    A TreeTown USA Patented Exclusive!

Developed in Texas, Morning Suns vibrant orange-red leaves add color and contrast. Throughout the year, older leaves turn amber red before dropping, adding even more color interest. The plant will loose about 25% of its foliage in the cooler months of the year, but for the most part is evergreen. Bloom sprays are creamy white, appearing in spring and summer, and are followed by bluish-purple fruit in humid regions of the United States. On the west coast, little or no fruit has been observed. A fast dense grower, so can be used as a shade tree, or as the plant responds very well to shearing, makes an excellent clipped hedge or privacy screen.

The plant enjoys a full sun to dappled shade position. USDA Zone 8 - 10

How do you water your trees?
We use well water that is stored in 4 large lakes, with each holding up to 5 days of water at maximum use, in case of a well pump breakdown. The lakes are stocked with bass and tilapia to eat the vegetation in the pond and provide a place for our employees to fish and get some relaxation. Our variable frequency drive system allows us to water, based on our pressure needs in the field, which helps to control our water usage and keep our electricity usage low. We water our 5 and 7 gallon material with overhead sprinklers and with drip or emitter irrigation for our 15 to 95 gallon sizes. We increase the number of emitters based on container size to meet the water demands of the tree.
Do you use a lot of chemicals?
We use chemicals on an as needed basis and as little as possible. Our spray program is designed to prevent fungus and insects from damaging our trees and causing unsightly wounds or blemishes. We spray with systemic chemicals which provide control for an extended length of time, thereby allowing us to spray less frequent. (We spray inside our containers, to prevent weeds from using valuable nutrients provided specifically for our trees.)
Do you grow anything other than trees?
As America's Largest Tree Farm, we specialize in trees. However, we grow a small amount of shrubs and other items. Check with your Sales Representative for more details.

How quickly can I expect delivery of my material?
Typical delivery turn around is 72 hours for full truckloads. If the need arises, we can offer same-day delivery. Please contact your Sales Representative for more information.
